Former Cameroon international Modeste Mbami is seeking to depart Almeria after just six months on their books but a contract dispute is being launched by the Spanish club.

Mbami failed a medial examination this week during the team’s pre-season preparations and has also told the club he believes his contract has expired because he did not sign the renewal and his salary was paid late on several occasions.

But Almeria president Alfonso Garcia says the midfielder is contracted at the club until 2012 and will be disciplined for missing training.
